So I just watched Animal Kingdom and all i can say is....''Serious Stuff''!
This movie was quite tense.
I felt for the young dude J. I mean who would think moving in with your family would cause you so much drama. I guess thats what happens if you come from a family of criminals.
The pace was kinda slow sha and I had to watch it in two sittings, but i'll have to say it was a solid drama. I also enjoyed the ominous score and camera work. That their mama was major! Jacki Weaver definitely deserved the Oscar nomination. I couldn't stand the Uncle Pope jo. Lol.
The film ''tells the story of seventeen year-old J as he navigates his survival amongst an explosive criminal family and the detective who thinks he can save him''.
Its out on dvd now.
